Turf Belle 2014

Hi guys it has been a while. I blog everyday at the mobile app Dayre, on uhWing.

So as I have mentioned that I have participated in something, a new journey. Decided to join a pageant this year. I had the opportunity last year for Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant but I felt that the time wasn't right and so despite getting into finals I dropped out and returned my sash. This year I felt more ready and daring to participate in something I never thought I would really do, but only hope I have the guts to try it at least once.

It is like checking something off from my bucket list, despite the attempt in Singapore Poly Biz School Hunks and Babes competition in which I did not come out as the champion, I felt that this one, on a national level would be something I would share with people my experience in the future. Like a fun fact of Wing; hey so I joined a beauty pageant when I was young, and that answered all my doubts and changed my perceptions of pageants.

Always had a POV for pageants as I am sure most people have this stereotype for girls who do this. But this pageant is a little different, and most of the girls are actually really nice and not snobbish or extremely competitive. I had my doubts when I first met everyone, and thankfully my first impression was wrong and they're really fun to be with. Special thanks to Michelle who joined and continued this journey with me till now, many times I want to opt out or ask myself why am I still here, and most of the time I am motivated and have the mood to carry on the day because of her. 

Blogging about this today because... the voting system is actually up and although I do not have fans or a lot of friends to make me the most popular and hence the top votes contestant of the competition, but I am still hoping I do not come out as the one with the most pathetic vote count... lol so...

I can't win because I am not eligible to lol but YOU CAN ;) Might not join another pageant anymore as that is not my goal (in pursuing beauty pageant titles or build a career or success in this platform), but might join again if there is a good/special one (like this competition) that gives more exposure and special experiences (this one I got to learn about horses and horse riding lol) from the typical pageants, who knows right? But let's just say if this is the last one, I am hoping to do somewhat well in this and leave no regrets that I joined it half-heartedly. I always believe if I decide to do something, I should do to my best ability. Have fun and good luck to wing :) No matter what the outcome is, I am still glad I decided to be brave and join.
